In 1969 the Daughters of Charity opened Seton Center, Inc. to meet the growing need of child care for working parents in the community. The center has been in continuous operation for over 30 years. In 1996 the center began operation as Emmitsburg Early Learning Center continuing the mission of the Daughters of Charity as a non-profit organization to provide quality child care using a sliding fee scale.

We have 4 locations throughout Maryland. Please visit our website here for more information.
The center's child development programs focus on developing the whole child. We work with the children to build their academic, emotional, language, physical and social skills. A balance of indoor and outdoor activities is provided daily to help develop motor skills and promote creativity. Our services are available to everyone without discrimination.
